Thomas Vasdekas, MD

Dr. Vasdekas is a Board Certified General Surgeon serving the Southwest Suburban Chicagoland area since finishing his surgical residency at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center Chicago in 1988.

Dr. Vasdekas has always been committed to bringing high quality, state of the art surgical care to his patients at Silver Cross Hospital. He was instrumental in bringing da Vinci Robotic Surgery to the community and is actively involved in the robotic surgical committees at both hospitals ensuring high quality care and outcomes. Dr. Vasdekas has performed over 1,200 robotic single site and multiport surgeries and is in the top tier of
experience in Illinois. Dr. Vasedekas specializes in providing surgery for hernia repair, colorectal surgeries and cholecystectomies.

As the Cancer Liaison Physician to the Commission on Cancer for Palos Hospital he is a leading advocate in providing and ensuring high quality Cancer care for his patients and the community.
