Education has always been a central focus for Dr. Ura Shin L.Ac, DTCM. She began her studies at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Ura Shin completed her Master of Science from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Mineola, New York with four years of in-depth clinical experience. She then earned a doctoral degree in traditional Chinese medicine from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. Dr. Ura Shin is board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Dr. Ura Shin's professional experience includes work in physical therapy, sports rehabilitation, and women's health. She is also well-versed in trigger point therapy, gastrointestinal disorders, mental/emotional disorders, and interpreting diagnostic imaging. 

Through her education and experience, Dr. Ura Shin has developed a treatment methodology that incorporates both traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine. By taking the best of both, she creates customized treatment plans that deliver impressive results for patients.
