At Focus Refined Eye Care, medical and general optometrist Bimal Patel, OD, provides outstanding services to maintain excellent eye health to people of all ages in Houston, Texas, at offices in Montrose and The Heights. 

Dr. Patel was born and raised in Houston. He loves the Bayou City and is thrilled to be able to serve the community where he grew up. 

Dr. Patel studied at the University of Texas at Austin, earning his undergraduate degree in biology. He then enrolled at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude with his Doctor of Optometry.

He completed a specialty externship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, as well as specialty training at a private dental practice in Austin, Texas, before establishing his own practice. 

Focus Refined Eye Care has convenient locations and features a comforting, concierge environment. Dr. Patel and his staff strive to provide a warm and welcoming patient experience that’s personal and unique. Dr. Patel always provides personalized advice and treatment. 

Focus Refined Eye Care features innovative technology, including optical coherence tomography (OCT) from ZEISS and retinal imaging with Daytona from Optos®.

Dr. Patel performs preventive eye exams and regularly prescribes glasses and contacts.

The in-office optical store stocks premium eyeglasses and contact lenses. Designer frames are from name brands like Tom Ford, Eco Eyewear, and MODO. Contact lenses from CooperVision®, Acuvue®, and Bausch & Lomb® are available. As one of the only optometrists in the Houston area certified to fit orthokeratology contacts, Dr. Patel often treats kids, teens, and young adults with vision problems or keratoconus.
