Marcus Tjeerdsma, M.D.

Marcus Tjeerdsma, M.D., is a General Surgeon at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital. Dr. Tjeerdsma received his medical degree at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Kansas-Wichita School of Medicine in Wichita, Kan. He is trained in minimally invasive robotic surgery and follows the philosophy of treating his patients with the same care and compassion that he would want for his own family.

Dr. Tjeerdsma grew up on a farm near Tyndall, S.D., and is happy to be back in his home state. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports, hiking and exploring the Black Hills.
