Sylvia Cartwright, MD

Sylvia Cartwright, MD, provides compassionate and integrative telehealth psychiatry care for adults living throughout California. Based in La Jolla, California, Dr. Cartwright has been helping professionals from all walks of life — from corporate executives to military personnel to artists — regain their mental well-being.

Dr. Cartwright treats many conditions, including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and trauma. She combines comprehensive diagnostic evaluations with inclusive therapy plans and medication management, empowering her patients of diverse backgrounds.

Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Cartwright earned a Master of Management at EDHEC Business School in France and a diploma in accounting and finance at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in London, England.

After working as a business analyst and project manager, Dr. Cartwright returned to school, completing her premedical post-baccalaureate at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She then earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) and completed her psychiatry residency training at UCSD Health System in San Diego.
