Michelle E. Wood, MD

Dr. Wood is originally from Detroit and received her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and Cellular Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. At the conclusion of her training, Dr. Wood relocated to Central Florida. After 20 years of practice in Lake County, she transitioned to Florida Women’s Health in support of her family. She is thrilled to continue her compassionate and comprehensive care for her local community in this new setting. Dr. Wood has been board certified since 2006 and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, South Atlantic Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Lake County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association, and Florida Obstetric and Gynecological Society. By offering obstetrical and gynecological care and gynecologic surgical services, Dr. Wood works to provide complete care for women from adolescence through post-menopause. She strives to assist patients in maintaining autonomy in their healthcare and believes that women are empowered by the resulting physical and emotional well-being.
