Jayne McAlexander, LCSW

Jayne McAlexander, LCSW, is a mental health therapist on our Behavioral Health team. She sees patients ages 12 and older at our Springfield Clinic Main Campus East location. She has over 20 years of counseling and mental health experience.“Central to my work throughout my career has been providing counseling services that facilitate change and ease emotional and psychological pain,” says Jayne.Jayne earned a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Arts degree in Human Development Counseling from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She also has a Doctorate in Creation Spirituality.“I am dedicated to being present and utilizing any and all knowledge, experience and wisdom I have to support and facilitate change,” says Jayne. “I am committed to providing a safe space where one can feel heard and understood.”In her free time, she enjoys spending time reading in the areas of psychology, counseling, spirituality and holistic health. She also participates in various volunteer activities and community programs.
