Katrina Howard, RD, LDN, CPT, provides care with Springfield Clinic's Bariatric Surgery team in Peoria."Being a dietitian is actually my second career; I was a corporate trainer in Boston for five years," says Katrina. "When I started training for marathons, I was fascinated by the science of nutrition and how fueling one's body with the right foods helped one's performance."Katrina chose central Illinois after her dietetic internship and has since learned it is a great place to raise a family.Katrina has nearly nine years of experience in dietetics. Prior to joining Springfield Clinic, she worked at OSF Medical Center in Peoria.In her free time, Katrina likes to volunteer with Peoria Grown by teaching a few of their cooking classes. She also enjoys CrossFit and weightlifting.
