Dr. Benny studied at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton Campus in Florida, earning his Doctor of Osteopathy. He then completed an internal medicine residency at the Rocky Mountain Osteopathic Post Graduate Training Institution in Parker, Colorado, and a rheumatology fellowship at Larkin Community Hospital - South Miami in Miami, Florida. 

Dr. Benny developed an interest in rheumatology during his final year of residency training. The different types of rheumatologic diseases and their manifestations fascinated him and inspired Dr. Benny to pursue a career in the field.
