Mariya Kobi, MD

Mariya Kobi, MD, is a board-certified radiologist specializing in body imaging. She is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Kobi earned her MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After an internship year in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, she completed her residency training at Montefiore Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She then completed an Abdominal Imaging Fellowship, also at Montefiore Medical Center.
Her clinical expertise is in multimodality abdominal imaging with a focus on gastrointestinal and genitourinary conditions. She interprets a wide range of imaging examinations including CT scan, MRI,  ultrasound, and radiography. Her clinical interests are pre- and post-operative imaging of liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants and virtual colonoscopy. She has had numerous original research articles published, along with contributions to reviews and book chapters, and has given many oral presentations nationally, including at the Society of Abdominal Radiology annual meeting.
She is a member of American College of Radiology (ACR), the Society of Abdominal Radiology (SAR), American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). She serves on ACR quality improvement committees including the Expert Panel on GI Imaging and CT Colonography.
