The reason I went into medicine is because have always been interested in health science and biology as well as nurturing. I felt like health care is the perfect marriage for those two things. I decided to specialize in primary care because it allows me to take care of patients from the time they are born through the end of life. In rural medicine I am allowed to build bonds with the people in the community where I live. When trying to decide where I wanted to work, the fact that Mercy is a faith based company is what really spoke to me.
