As someone who excelled at science, and also sketching throughout her life, Dr. Ma is uniquely qualified to bring artistry and advanced technology to her treatment plans. Cosmetic dentistry is a specialty. She loves seeing patients come in who may be embarrassed about their teeth or covering them when they speak, leave smiling and laughing.
She specializes in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry—veneers, extractions, Kor teeth whitening, conventional braces and Invisalign clear braces, dental implant placement and restoration, dentures, crowns, bridges. Dr. Ma can also perform the services that an endodontist and periodontist would do, including root canals, wisdom teeth removal and gingivectomy. She treats a comprehensive level of issues, including TMJ and sleep apnea. Cutting-edge equipment includes an intraoral camera and FDA-approved LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure). When Dr. Ma was 12, her parents took her to the orthodontist to get braces to fix her crowded teeth. Once she saw the before-and-after models, and saw her own smile transformed, she knew she wanted to be a dentist when she grew up.
She’s highly educated and seasoned, with a degree in craniofacial molecular biology from the University of Southern California and two degrees in dentistry from Shandong University in China. Dr. Ma began her career journey in China, where she completed her first round of dental school and prosthodontic residency. After coming to the United States and devoting years to analyzing materials in enamel regeneration research, she decided to return to practicing dentistry and her passion for improving people’s smiles.
