Clarisse S. Muenyi, MD, PhD

I grew up in a community with limited access to healthcare. As a young girl growing up in Cameroon, I watched multiple family members including my dad die from medical and surgically preventable diseases. This led to my desire to become a physician. As a general surgeon, I provide care to all patients regardless of their race, sexual orientation and socioeconomic background. My care philosophy centers on delivering patient-focused, personalized, empathetic, and high-quality care that is commensurate with the level of care I would provide to my own family members and loved ones. In my free time outside of caring for my patients, I like to spend quality time with my loved ones and friends. I also enjoy activities such as cooking, hiking, swimming, dancing and playing tennis.
