Stephanie M. Kanitsch, MD, is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Kanitsch provides care with the Springfield Clinic Women's Health team and sees patients at Springfield Clinic 1st - 900 Building.Dr. Kanitsch earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Fla. She completed her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Chester, Pa. She has more than five years of experience in providing obstetrics and gynecologic care in the central Illinois region."I have always wanted to come to a smaller town setting for my career and family where you can find a true sense of community," says Dr. Kanitsch.Dr. Kanitsch sees the beauty of women's health because she gets to treat patients for a variety of needs. She has a particular passion for high-risk obstetrics care."I truly want my patients to feel that they are a part of my family when I see them," says Dr. Kanitsch. "I want to be seen as not only their physician giving them medical advice, but also as their sounding board and a pillar of support for them."When she is not seeing patients or delivering babies, Dr. Kanitsch can be found traveling the world, exploring new restaurants and cooking with her husband. She also enjoys working up a sweat in the gym and spending time with family and friends.
