Working as a bedside nurse and prior emergency department secretary, I saw the disparities in healthcare first hand among the socioeconomically challenged population in our community. I felt a responsibility to give back to my community by becoming a provider and teaching patients what they needed to know to achieve better health. I like to teach patients the importance of preventive care testing, lifestyle changes, taking responsibility of their health with my assistance, and making informed decisions to achieve the best healthy quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy church, photography, teaching nursing students, and family time.
