Karen Ottenstein, MD

Dr. Ottenstein is a graduate of Colgate University, and earned her medical degree at SUNY Upstate Medical Center. She completed the Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency in Augusta, Maine, and practiced Family Medicine in Wiscasset, Maine for 25 years before joining Prima CARE in Westport, Massachusetts.
Dr. Ottenstein is Board-certified in Family Practice. She has served on the faculties of the Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice Residency and Dartmouth Medical School, teaching and supervising medical residents.
Dr. Ottenstein practices medicine with a philosophy focused on both the physical and emotional needs of her patients. She joined Dr. Cathleen Hood's Primary Care Partnership in 2013, sharing its comprehensive approach to health that integrates modern medical care with muscular therapy, Reiki, and yoga. Dr. Ottenstein offers management of acute and chronic illnesses, along with wellness care, for individuals age 6 to seniors. In addition to her devotion to patient care, Dr. Ottenstein has served her community as a member of the Executive Boards of both the Sierra Club of Maine and the Maine Women's Lobby.
Dr. Ottenstein sees patients in the Primary Care Partnership offices in Westport and is affilliated with St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River.
