Kevin D. Sumida, MD

With personal athletic experience and a passion for sports, Dr. Kevin Sumida is especially interested in sports-related injuries, particularly complex problems of the shoulder and knee. He enjoys working closely with his patients to achieve common goals. He is an Assistant Professor at Georgetown School of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor Uniformed Services University of the Health and Sciences School of Medicine. He regularly teaches and instructs sports medicine fellows from the Airforce and Georgetown residents. Dr. Sumida is currently serving as Chairman of the Orthopaedic Department at Virginia Hospital Center.
