Dana Foster McAfee, DNP

Dana F. McAfee, DNP, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner who provides primary care at MUSC Health Primary Care - Sweetgrass Mount Pleasant. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the Medical University of South Carolina. After graduating with her Bachelor of Science from MUSC, she spent five years working as a nurse in the MUSC adult emergency department before becoming a nurse practitioner. Dana worked as a nurse practitioner in the Charleston area for two years prior to returning to MUSC to work in primary care. Dana cares for all types of primary care patients, from preventative medicine to chronic disease management, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. Dana enjoys getting to know her patients and working together with them to achieve their personal health goals through a team approach and patient-centered care.
