Volunteer Insurance Agency

Volunteer Insurance Agency, Inc. is located at 106 E. Main Street, Rutherford, Tennessee (Gibson County) and has been in business since 1975. It was originally owned by Nancy Corley and was named Corley Insurance Agency. In 1976 Barbara K. Hunt bought in as a partner. In 1980 the agency name was changed to Volunteer Insurance Agency. In 1995 Nancy left the agency, and Barbara acquired her share. In 1995 Barbara’s daughter Rhonda H. Poore rejoined the agency, having previously worked in the agency from 1984 to 1988. The business became incorporated in 2002. Rhonda became a full partner in 2007. Today the agency is operated by Rhonda H. Poore and her two agents, Ori Draper and Siler Thornton.
