Ever since I started in health care, I wanted to be a nurse practitioner. It was just a matter of how to get there. Working in the outpatient diagnostic area, working with the GI patients during procedures, made me really realize how much GI issues can alter their quality of life. I'm really passionate about this work because, as a provider, I will have more hands on with creating a plan with the patient and then being able to see them come back with a better quality of life, back to their health. We love to have a patient come back and tell us how great it is. Sometimes you get those, sometimes you don't, but knowing at the end of the day that you did everything you could for this patient makes it worth it.
