Sonya Chelliah, MD

Sonya Chelliah, MD earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her internship at The Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and Family Medicine Residency at Memorial Satilla Health Rural Track Program where she served as chief resident. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology from The University of Georgia and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Chelliah has been practicing medicine for 5 years. Interests include Nutrition and Wellness. Her practice is focused on management of chronic diseases (including Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD) and acute illness. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Chelliah worked in Carrollton, GA and Waycross, GA. In her spare time, Dr. Chelliah enjoys spending time with her husband and family. She enjoys cooking, traveling and exploring new restaurants in Atlanta. Dr. Chelliah is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
