I’m a Venezuelan/American Internal Medicine Physician with fellowship training in Integrative Medicine and certifications in Functional Medicine.
I grew up with an Italian father, Venezuelan mother and 4 siblings. We were a very active family that spent most of our time outdoors either playing sports or coaching. Growing up, I always made sure to incorporate fitness into my daily routine as it proved to be crucial for my physical health, but more importantly, for my mental health. In our house, meals were home cooked and family dinners were non-negotiable. That was our norm. However, today, home cooked meals are no longer the norm and it has become clear that many of the chronic diseases that we see today are a product of lifestyle choices.
