John E. Sy, MD

Dr. John E. Sy is a board-certified UCI Health nephrologist who specializes in the management of chronic kidney disease. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Sylmar, Calif., and a fellowship in nephrology at the University of California, San Francisco.

His research interests include the impact of frailty on patients with chronic kidney disease, clinical outcomes of dialysis patients and anticoagulation among patients with chronic kidney disease.
