David Burtzo, MD

David Burtzo, M.D., is a board-certified oncologist for the Hoag Family Cancer Institute. With more than 23 years of experience treating the broad range of diagnoses in the field of hematology and oncology, he is uncompromising in his dedication to the well-being of his patients. Dr. Burtzo practices in the Hoag Family Cancer Center’s Huntington Beach location.

Dr. Burtzo attended Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine Medical School. He completed his post-graduate medical training in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology at Los Angeles County+University of Southern California Medical Center, serving as chief fellow of oncology in 2002.

Dr. Burtzo is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine/Medical Oncology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. He is focused on delivering the highest level of cancer care with warmth and compassion.

Dr. Burtzo was born at Hoag Hospital Newport Beach and raised in Huntington Beach, where he currently resides. He has been honored and delighted to take care of hematology and oncology patients over the last 19 years in his hometown of Huntington Beach and its surrounding cities.
