Jamie L Cannady, APRN

Jamie L. Cannady, APRN, MSN-FNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialization from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky.
Because her mother was a nurse, Jamie has always known that she wanted to become a nurse as well. After working in a hospital, she wanted to continue her education while still providing care, so she returned to school to become a nurse practitioner. She chose primary care as her specialty because she prefers to get to know her patients over the long term. Her No. 1 health tip for her patients is that preventive care is key.
In her spare time, Jamie enjoys running, watching sports and spending time outdoors with her husband, golden retriever and children. Soccer is her favorite sport (Go, Bellarmine Knights!).
