Come and visit our gallery located in the historic harbour town of Fowey. Situated on Fore Street, the gallery stocks a wide range of traditional and contemporary art.

Situated in the beautiful setting of Fowey harbour our little gallery can be found on the main shopping thoroughfare in the town. Choose from a wide range of artwork including prints, canvas and greeting cards. We have a special collection of art featuring Fowey, the South Coast of Cornwall and beautiful surrounding area. Our friendly staff are always on hand to offer advice and help.

Pronounced Foy to rhyme with joy. Situated on the south coast of Cornwall between Looe and Mevagissey, Fowey is not only an historic town but also a commercial seaport. Its harbour is flanked by fourteenth century blockhouses, one in Fowey and one on the opposite side of the river in Polruan, from which chains were once suspended to close the harbour mouth. During the Second World War, Fowey was the centre for air-sea rescue and also one of the places from which the D-Day invasions were launched.

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town hangs off the west side of the Fowey estuary where the large, deep water harbour is a haven for yachtsmen and has had as many as 7,000 visiting yachts in a season. Fowey is an exporting port for china clay and over the last few years has been a popular destination for several cruise liners, whose passengers are able to enjoy the delights of the town.

Lining the main Fore Street you will find many small, independent shops selling unusual gifts, artwork, clothing and books. If you’re a foodie then Fowey is home to many bistros, cafes and restaurants where you’ll find menus offering the best in local produce – Fowey River mussels are a highlight.

Daphne du Maurier is perhaps the most famous former resident of the town and the Du Maurier Festival is now held here each May.
