Recognized as a SpaceOAR Hydrogel Center of ExcellenceBrian Baumann, MD, provides care with the Cancer Center Department's Radiation Oncology Team and sees patients at HSHS St. John's Hospital.Dr. Baumann earned his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, and also completed his radiation oncology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Baumann has more than five years of experience with most recently serving as radiation oncology provider with Washington University School of Medicine.His father's career as a radiation oncologist sparked his interest in medicine. "Seeing how he really made a difference in people's lives and the satisfaction he got from the work he did throughout his career is how I approach medicine," Dr. Baumann says.His scope of practice includes treating cancers in patients of all ages both in the curative in palliative scenarios."Patients should know that you are a part of my extended family when you come into my office," he says.
