Karen Keaney, MSN, FNP-BC, RN, CWOCN

Karen Keaney is a Family Nurse Practitioner who works in the Section of Colon and Rectal at New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine. She collaborates with board certified surgeons who specialize in laparoscopic, robotic, complex open colon, rectal and abdominal surgeries. She performs detailed and comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative assessments for patients before and after colon and rectal surgeries. Karen provides pre-operative and post-operative consultations and education for wound and ostomy patients across the healthcare system as well as education for the clinical nursing staff.Karen graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from Pace University. Prior to joining New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, she was working at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center as a Nurse Practitioner in wound and ostomy care. Karen is a certified wound, ostomy and continence nurse.
