J. Michael Witherington, O.D.

Dr. J. Michael Witherington is a Board Certified Optometrist practicing at Quigley Eye Specialists’ Cape Coral and Fort Myers Beach locations. Dr. Witherington enjoys providing primary eye care to his patients, by helping them to see as clearly as possible, while maintaining their ocular health. He has won “Best Optometrist in Cape Coral” by the local newspaper twice as a write-in candidate when he wasn’t even on the ballot. He was awarded a plaque from Johnson and Johnson in 2020 as the number one Acuvue contact lens fitter in all of Southwest Florida. Dr. Witherington received both his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Optics in 1978 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1980 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He founded OptiExpress in 1999, and in 2020, merged his practice with Quigley Eye Specialists.
