Shardul Poudyal, MD

For Shardul Poudyal, MD, The Iowa Clinic presented an excellent care model for not only their patients but the community as well, which he admired when choosing a practice. He chose Internal Medicine because it allows him to build lifelong relationships with patients and their families in their time of need. The ability to help his patient with a wide variety of problems across multiple specialties is something Dr. Poudyal finds most rewarding about his practice.

After completing medical school in India, Dr. Poudyal moved to the United States where he has been practicing medicine for over a decade. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, going for long walks, playing squash, and trying new foods. If he didn’t become a provider, he would have liked to have been a professional athlete or pursue something in sports medicine.
