Matthew Wessling, ARNP

Matthew Wessling, ARNP, joined The Iowa Clinic Pulmonary department because of the reputation of excellence in healthcare. During his time as a nurse and in clinical rotations, Matthew had the opportunity to work with many TIC providers, which gave him a great understanding of the excellent care they provide to patients. He chose Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine because he enjoys the opportunity to establish a relationship with patients over time, and to challenge himself in a field that is always growing and evolving. For Matthew, seeing patients grasp an understanding of their current health situation and providing them with the tools they need to better their health is something he finds most rewarding.

Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Louis Cardinals. If he was not a provider, he might have been a sports journalist or broadcaster.
