Allison Brown, ARNP

Allison Brown, DNP has been with The Iowa Clinic since January 2015. The Iowa Clinic has more capabilities than any other urgent care along with a good reputation, factors that ultimately brought Allison to The Iowa Clinic.

Allison is board-certified in family practice, but her entire nursing background is acute care. After her transition from the emergency room, she wanted to continue acute medicine — which is why she chose Urgent Care. The Iowa Clinic Urgent Care department offered an opportunity to use those critical thinking skills in an outpatient setting. The science and medicine behind what she does and the ability to continually learn from her peers are a strong part of why Allison loves her job. On top of that, she simply loves to help people.
