Dr. KhangHy D. Nguyen, DO

KhangHy D Nguyen, D.O., FACOS, FACS, graduated from the Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004 and completed his surgical residency at McLaren Greater Lansing in 2009. He is a board-certified general surgeon providing a broad range of surgical care including minimally invasive procedures and endoscopy.

After completing his residency, Dr. Nguyen fulfilled his Health Professional Scholarship duties by serving active duty in the United States Air Force at Joint Base Andrews until his honorable discharge in 2013. As an active duty surgeon, he completed two tours of duty to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Before coming to Sparrow, he previously served as Assistant Chief of Surgery for the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Group covering the northern Virginia area.
