Dr. James Herman, MD

James Herman, M.D., has been a member of Sparrow's oncology team since 1983.

He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and radiation oncology. He received his medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada.

Dr. Herman completed an internal medicine internship at the University of Michigan and an internal medicine residency at McGill University Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He also completed a residency in medical oncology as well as a residency and fellowship in radiation oncology at the University of Toronto, Princess Margaret Hospital.

Treating all cancer types, Dr. Herman has been instrumental in developing and implementing Sparrow's multidisciplinary oncology clinics. His greatest ability is his strong communication with Patients and their families.
