Kids Thrive

The Kids Thrive team has been working hard to help children grow through the challenges they face. Many of our children have been excluded from childcare centers, pre-schools, and community activities. They often lack the necessary skills to participate in positive, pro-social groups. Children have the opportunity to participate in activities to help them grow and learn despite their challenging behaviors. Our Cincinnati children's therapy will help to prepare them for a childcare center or school environment by providing consistent structure and routines. Every day we practice following directions, taking turns, and asking for help, skills that are crucial for success in any school environment. We work to repair children’s tolerance for group negotiation and shared adult attention. Through scheduled individual skills sessions and therapy sessions with a professional practitioner, we address specific goals parents and caregivers designate for their children. Family sessions are included in care because family involvement is essential in the treatment of young children. Parents and other caregivers can get useful skills to control their child's actions and lessen the impact on their daily lives through family counseling and parent coaching sessions.
