The Las Vegas Nevada Temple is the 43rd operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first temple built in Nevada. Dedicated on December 1989 by then-Apostle Gordon B. Hinckley, the temple sits on the eastern edge of the city as a spiritual refuge in this western red desert landscape.
