Shivanand Karkal, MD

Dr. Shivanand Karkal is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in heart disease at the Orlando Health Heart and Vascular Institute. His expertise includes same-day consultation and cardiac testing; echocardiograms; carotid, arterial and venous Doppler testing; and treadmill and nuclear stress tests. He aims to be the best advocate for every patient. Dr. Karkal received his medical training at Seth G S Medical College-King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, India. His fellowship in clinical and interventional cardiology was performed at Cornell University Medical Center in New York. Dr. Karkal enjoys reading, writing and travel, and he uses those interests to connect with his patients. He is fluent in English, Marathi and Hindi.
