Vineet Sharma, M.D.

Dr. Vineet Sharma received his undergraduate degree in biology and business administration from the University of California, Riverside, where he also received a master's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. After graduation, he served in AmeriCorps in Los Angeles, working to address social determinants of health through educational initiatives at AltaMed Health Services – one of the nation’s largest federally qualified health centers (FQHCs). Dr. Sharma earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, where he served as the national representative for the American Medical Association (AMA) and as vice president for the School of Medicine. He completed his residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell & Columbia Residency Program. During his training, he earned the prestigious EMRA/ACEP ED Directors Academy (EDDA) Scholarship for his work in improving patient care through innovation and operational efficiency. He is passionate about social emergency medicine, improving and advancing emergency care through administration and operations, medical education and resident wellness
