Dr. Damera was born in India, where she had her basic education and medical school training. After graduating from medical school she moved to the United States with her husband. She completed a residency in family medicine at the Bronx Lebanon Hospital affiliated with Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, New York. She then worked at the same hospital as an assistant clinical professor and as a practicing family physician in the Department of Family Medicine for two years. After her husband completed his cardiology training, they moved to Indianapolis to further pursue their careers. Dr. Damera is pleased to be part of Family Medicine Care, Shadeland, which is known for providing quality healthcare on the east side of Indianapolis. She is board certified in family medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. In her leisure time, Dr. Damera enjoys cooking, reading and shopping. She and her husband have a son and a daughter.
