James Joseph Kluzinski, MD

Dr. James Kluzinski was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended Triton College in River Grove, IL. He continued his education at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and studied medicine at the Medical Academy of Wroclaw, Poland, graduating in 1986. After graduation, Dr. Kluzinski attended Union Hospital’s Family Practice residency program in Terre Haute, IN. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, and is board certified in family medicine.

He joined Northeast Family Physicians/Community Family Medicine Care in 1991, which is now part of Community Physician Network. Dr. Kluzinski is very interested in preventive medicine and aggressive management of chronic diseases. He loves the old saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” Dr. Kluzinski understands how an occasional simple intervention can increase a person’s quality of life. He believes chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes should be managed very aggressively. Dr. Kluzinski has the ability to help people medically manage their weight and can design a comprehensive customized weight management program for his patients.

Dr. Kluzinski is a good fit for patients who want a caring physician who will spend time explaining options in simple, straightforward fashion. He is a great choice for those who want to be actively involved in their care and personal health, and who believe that prescription medications are NOT always the answer.

Dr. Kluzinski’s leisure time is spent with his family and pets. He enjoys outdoor activities that include bicycling, canoeing and hiking.
