Megan McDonald, CNM, earned her master’s as a nurse midwife at the University of Kansas. Her bachelor’s in nursing is from Olivet Nazarene University. She has served as a certified nurse midwife and clinical director at Sacred Roots Birth Center in Indianapolis as well as a certified nurse midwife for HealthNet and Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. She has also held RN positions in Kansas City, Kansas.
Her areas of expertise include natural childbirth, nutrition/lifestyle medicine and hormone balancing. She’s an active member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives, for which she has served as vice president and secretary.
Her interests away from work include yoga, spinning, tennis, baking, playing cards with her husband and three children, walking her dog, and vacationing in warm destinations.
Our midwives offer meet and greet appointments to anyone who would like to learn more about midwifery care at Community. Come and tour our beautiful space, meet our team, and ask any questions you may have. Appointments are 30 minutes long and are available both in-person and virtually.
