Dr. Premkumar was born in India, where she received her basic education and medical school training. She began her residency in Cleveland, Ohio at Metro Health Hospital, which is affiliated with Case Western University. She graduated in June 2006 from the St. Vincent Hospital Family Practice Residency Program. She worked at Crown City Medical Center in Pasadena, California in 2002 and the University of Cincinnati Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Department, also in 2002.
She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
