Dr. Dawes is a native of Wabash, Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana University (1985) and Indiana University School of Medicine (1989). He completed both an Internal Medicine residency with board certification at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana (1989-1992) and a dermatology residency with board certification at the Indiana University School of Medicine (1992-95). Dr. Dawes established his practice in 1995 with Dr. Fretzin joining the group shortly thereafter in 1997. Together, they established Dawes Fretzin Clinical Research Group in 2004. He has served as secretary/treasurer and is presently the president of the Indiana Academy of Dermatology state medical society.
