George & Matilda Eyecare for Gerry & Johnson Optometrists was founded in 1995 and is a highly regarded evidence-based optometry practice in the heart of the Brisbane CBD. We are passionate about patient education, quality-of-life eyecare outcomes, and fantastic eyewear solutions.

We welcome Optometrist Anthony Sargeant to the team. After graduating from QUT with a Master of Optometry with Distinction, Anthony relocated to Victoria where he undertook full-scope eyecare consulting in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Additionally, he provided clinical mentorship and coaching for optometrists in metropolitan and regional Victoria and Tasmania, and has been an invited speaker for Optometry Victoria/South Australia. Anthony has also served as an Optometry Committee member for Glaucoma Australia.

Recently, Anthony has returned to Brisbane with his young family and now continues to provide comprehensive optometric care for patients of all ages, with interests in pediatric myopia management, orthokeratology, and management of chronic eye conditions.
