I wanted to be physician as I can help people and also can help them to be healthier and live longer with healthy mind and body. I am a family physician with clinical interests in geriatric medicine with special interests in weight management, disease prevention, keeping my older patients independent as long as possible and managing chronic conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol. I have spent 16 years in family practice caring for patients in North Carolina. As a family practitioner and geriatrician, I strive to provide my patients with the highest level of evidence-based care while maintaining a great doctor-patient relationship where open and honest communication is key. I feel that it is important to listen to and respect a patient's concerns and that an informed patient and doctor can make the most improvement in a patient’s healthcare. I enjoy building long-lasting relationships and is committed to educating my patients, helping lifestyle changes with a combination of medical therapies as needed -overall prevention of disease and achieving outstanding health of my patients – with a focus on eliminating unnecessary medications whenever possible. I speak English, Bangla, Hindi and Urdu. In my free time, I enjoy travelling, biking, walking, hiking and listening music, also enjoy time with my family.
