Seru Assessment

SERU stands for Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding Assessment and it’s a new requirement for all Private Hire Drivers in London that came into force in October 2021.

At some point, you will be asked by TFL to pass the SERU Assessment Test or you may lose your Private Hire Driver’s Licence.

Passing the Safety, Equality and Regulatory Understanding Assessment will also mean that you have the required English language skills of reading and writing in order to be licensed as a London PHV Driver and continue to work as a Private Hire Driver in London.
