Matt is responsible for the continued growth and executive oversight of the central North Carolina offices for TowneBank. He held a pivotal role in the introduction of TowneBank to the Triangle and Charlotte markets in 2018, and now will lead those areas as well as the banking professionals in the Triad and Greenville markets.
A graduate of North Carolina State University, Matt brings nearly 30 years of banking experience, including past roles as chief credit officer and chief operating officer at Paragon Bank prior to its acquisition by TowneBank. Matt mostly recently served as chief strategy and risk officer as part of the TowneBank Corporate Management Group.
Matt is a Certified Professional and Executive Coach and works with teams across TowneBank to help each person gain self-understanding to help maximize their potential.
