Scientifically Designed Interiors

After many years in the healthcare industry, I started my design firm in 2018 out of my very own experience with burnout. I was overwhelmed working the long hours at the hospital, stressed trying to balance work and life, and worried because I knew that I was not taking care of myself. So, I sought the comfort of a sanctuary like the one my mom created caring for my special needs sister growing up. Her physical brain was affected by a chemical in our environment 3 days after my parents brought her home from the hospital. Caring for her helped me realize just how important the built environment is to our health and mental wellbeing. Wellbeing interior design is designing a space for the well-being of human beings. Since we begin and end our day in our space, I took a step back, reevaluated it and my life changed forever. I’m a double board-certified scientist with a passion for the arts. I intentionally redesigned my space with thought and care by adding plants, rearranging my furniture, intentionally using color, and incorporating tools that we used every day in the laboratory to be efficient in my home. That is when I experienced the importance of interior design. I am passionate about helping busy professionals design beautiful nurturing spaces that reduce stress and support mental wellbeing because I believe good interior design heals.
