The son of chemistry professors, Dr. David Prokai was born into a laboratory science family. Instead of pursuing a career in research, it was his interest in the way that science interacts with the individual person that led him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Prokai received his medical degree from The University of Florida College of Medicine. There he discovered his passion for women’s health which led him to pursue training in obstetrics and gynecology. He received training in obstetrics/gynecology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and The University of Washington Medical Center. He then went on to complete a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During his time in fellowship, he presented at several national conferences and authored several chapters on diminished ovarian reserve and male infertility.
