Patrick M Azcarate, MD

Bio Patrick Azcarate, M.D., is a cardiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, part of Baptist Health. Dr. Azcarate specializes in general cardiology (coronary artery disease, prevention cardiology, heart failure), echocardiography and nuclear imaging, and cardio-oncology. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. Azcarate completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California San Francisco and his cardiovascular disease fellowship at the University of California San Diego. Here he grew his passion as a clinician educator for which he earned the Fellow of the Year award in 2020.

He focuses on medical education to help solve complex cases through advanced diagnostic techniques and innovative treatment plans.

Dr. Azcarate’s approach to patient care is to listen to his patients first and foremost, which helps forms a successful healthcare partnership.

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Azcarate enjoys hiking, playing piano, traveling and pursuing photography.
